OLM Project
Description
VR Platform for a research following a demand made by a researcher in psychology from Emek Izrael Institution.
The experiment focused on the subject’s ability to memorize the objects in the environment and identify changes in the positions. The environment simulates a Savana with bushes meant to be memorized and foxes as a distraction

Introduction Environment
Modern Office

Main Environment
Savanna
To make the subject more comfortable inside the VR environment we created an experimental environment of a modern office. The movement in this environment is the same as in the main experiment so the subject won’t get destructed by the feeling inside the VR
OLM Application
In order to simplify the usage of the platform we created a wrapping application

Experiment Description
the subject will have one minute to memorize an environment of 24 objects (bushes), and afterwards he will be shown the same environment with some changes in the positions of the bushes. The subject will try to identify all the changes. In one version of the experiment there will be distractions (foxes), the subject will tour the environment and click when he sees a fox. The experiment’s results will show the timestamps he clicked and will show if he missed the fox or hit it.

The Experiment will be divided into 2 different kinds of movements (1 minute each):

guided tour – the subject will stay in his place while the environment moves around him in a path (a car movement feel like).
free movement – the subject will move around and will be able to explore the environment only from his spot.
